Meet your maker - literally!

Greetings!

Happy March!

What to speculate on today? Celebrity pregnancy? Michael Jackson's Thriller anniversary? Obama/Hillary war?

Nah...the press is already doing enough about that! Let's talk about the world of Kate (aka Katie) Flach. Last Friday I took a "mental health" day after all the long hours of work that I had been putting in. One would think on these type of days off you would be resting the body, re-energizing, soul searching......but not me. I ran some much needed errands all day long. Stuff that had been piling up in the corner of my room was returned. Prescriptions that were 6 months old filled and the list goes on. It was so liberating!!! Then I trucked it home to begin the mass cleaning of our house for the arrival of Jim's parents on Saturday. We had a lovely evening with his parents on Saturday and then his family came over Sunday morning for brunch.

Sunday was also a big day for Gordy. She met her maker - literally. Gordy's Dad Drake met his daughter for the first time. For those of you who don't know Drake is our Real Estate Agent's dog. We love Drake so much and when we found out he was breeding we couldn't resist having one of his off-springs. It was a great day for the two. They played and Drake tried to hump her. He just see's a hot young thang. He has no concept that she is his daughter. It was crazy to see how much they looked alike. I'll have to put some pictures up soon. We did also find out they have some very similar mannerisms.

This weekend is about the house and relaxing. I can't wait.

BTW my poor Dad was stuck in the Dallas airport for over 24 hours. He got snowed in yesterday. For those of you who know my Dad start envisioning Dad sleeping in a booth......scary. But I think he made the best of it. He befriended the owner of one of the restaurants. He hooked himself up at Brookstone buying sleeping essentials - eye covers, blankets, pillows, and sat in their massage chair until the store closed. Then he returned to the restaurant, who had reserved a booth for him to sleep in and had a bottle of wine behind the bar marked with his name and settled in for a sleepless night. Glad to say that he is currently en route to Dulles.
